I am running for Congress to change the priorities in Washington and bring a moderate, common sense, and fiscally responsible approach to government.

During my time in the state legislature, I worked hard to focus on people over politics. I frequently voted across party lines, because it was my job to represent Florida families – not a political party. I taught my children the value of a dollar and the hard work it takes to earn it. That’s why I emphasized fiscal discipline, while not losing sight of the fact that responsible government has an important role in people’s lives.

As a small business owner in our community for almost 30 years, I am very aware of the need to pay-as-you-go and to provide a balanced budget. In Congress, I will work to rein in wasteful give-aways and ensure accountability so we can get back to a balanced budget

I will proudly take the lead on the issues that matter to Floridians, including funding children’s health care, lowering prescription drug costs, getting control of the housing crisis, and protecting Social Security.

I am running for Congress to be an independent and responsible voice for our community. I will always make sure that our interests – not the special interests – are represented in Washington.
