Over 50 Local Vets Back Suzanne Kosmas for Congress
Kosmas Outlines Priorities for Troops and Veterans
New Smyrna Beach - Suzanne Kosmas, Candidate for Congress in Florida's 24th District, today announced the formation of "Veterans for Kosmas", a group of over 50 local veterans who are supporting Kosmas because she will look out for Florida's troops and veterans in Washington. A list of the first 51 "Veterans for Kosmas" can be found below.
"Our greatest patriotic duty is to send our troops into harm's way only when absolutely necessary and to do everything possible to support them upon their return. Too often we hear about our troops coming back to inadequate medical care, dire financial circumstances, and difficulty readjusting to civilian life," said Kosmas. "While Tom Feeney has continued to send billions to Iraq for reconstruction, he has cut funding for our veterans and shortchanged the brave men and women who fought for our country. It is time to change our priorities and stand up for our troops and veterans."
Kosmas announced her specific priorities to support America's brave troops and veterans, as well as her record of standing up for them in Florida state legislature. A full document outlining Kosmas' priorities and record is attached.
"I support Suzanne Kosmas because I know she will always honor those of us who have served by making sure that we receive the care and benefits we were promised," said David Mize, an Air Force Veteran from Oviedo. "Suzanne has a record of doing what is right for servicemen and women, as she did in the state legislature when she cut taxes for military families."
